Cartridge Based Game Consoles

 Do you think that cartridge based game consoles are still popular?
 I liked the NeoGeo and would like to build a console similar to it.

I wondered what it would be like to put a cartridge port on the A500. The NeoGeo had up to 330 megabits at least. (40 Megabytes is 320 mbits)

@ddniUK
It is not a bad looking machine, but there is better, imo.
It sounds like a rehash of older tech.
