My A3000D is rated 240V only, so it's likely the US ones are 110V only.

What you probably need is a transformer that take the 220V down to 110V. Check with some firm that import odd audio and video hardware, they might have it. If you are in the US you should check out Fry's and Radio Shack as I've seen some of these transformers there. I'm not sure they are of the proper Watt/Ampere rating though. Just make sure they convert in the correct direction before buying one.
