network help==SORTED :)
« on: April 21, 2004, 08:39:03 PM »
I just got my Ethernet PC-Card network card and a network cd(and yes the card work with amiga) first I copied the cnet.device driver to Workbench:DEVS/networks.
then I transfered miami32b_Installer and when I tried to run the installer I found out I needed installer v43 which i guess i dont have. I have a A1200 unexpanded desktop with OS 3.1. So I downloaded AmiTCP 2.2 and installed it. But after the reboot I got a error about something cant find AmiTCP/DEVS/mountlist and I have looked and there are even no directory namned AmiTCP/DEVS

I tried the ping command that was with AmiTCP-2.2
I pingded my main pc-box and YES it worked
but when i try ftp it doesnt work.
does the ping command work even if you havent setup the TCP stack?

I going to reinstall OS3.1 now In the mean time can someone please tell what TCP stacks that works best and how to install them.

btw I bought the network card from GGS-Data in sweden if someone else have the same card and net-cd then they can tell how they got it to work

Its working now
I installed installer 43.3 and installed miami32b_Installer
