What is the best way to play your favourite .mod or other format files on a machine that they were not written for - without running a full emulator package?

I looove get_down_em3.mod, and would like to blast it out through my pc... but do not want to make a .wav or other such. I'd like to just play the mod. Any ideas?

Use Oldsk00l WinAmp plugin on Windows.  Don't forget to delete the winamp mod plugin first.

Use UADE on Linux.
