Too much amiga stuff
« on: December 23, 2009, 12:13:33 AM »
As seen below, I have a lot of Amiga stuff which is just taking up space.  I'm willing to part with (think sell cheaply) any or all if you are the right person(s).  I have enjoyed collecting it, maybe you would too.  See below for an idea of what I have.  I'll accept decent offers plus actual shipping costs and low packaging and handling costs.  Depends upon how much P & H I need to perform.  I'll make it negotiable.  I'll ship however you like, USPS, UPS, Fedex, local personal pickup.

Most of the games are in boxes with original disks and legal working copies and literature.  There are lots of Amiga books, manuals and other written material.  Many hundreds of DD floppies but I will not take the time and energy to erase what is on them.  I would prefer that the floppies be sold in groups of 100, but I'll try to be flexible.

There are also two 1084 stereo monitors, one 1084 mono and a 1950 which works but does not fill the available screen area.

Of the three listed, one of the A500s would not boot last I tried.  I'll give it to someone for parts.  You can put it up on concrete blocks in the back yard.

There are many generic items also:
About eight extra laptop IDE HDs of under 200 MBs with OS3.9 installed for the A1200s (for handling the SCSI external hardware).
Four external removable SCSI 1GB HDs, Amiga formatted, installed in steel cabinets.
SCSI cable making hardware.  Making cables is much cheaper than buying them.
  Two Bigfoot Power supplies.
  Etc., etc. ,etc.

If you are looking for something I have not specifically listed, that doesn't mean I can't find it amongst the piles of Amiga stuff.  Ask and I'll look.

I may not check this every day, but I'll check it regularly.  Don't despair.

Thanks for looking.  But only if you do.

I am currently gathering a list of software which will be posted on this thread.  It will be easier than trying to repost it every time someone asks for it.  So far there have been two offers to inspect the stuff personally.  I invite anyone who can pick up any of my collection to have first choice, just because it will be easier for me to distribute.  There will probably be more than enough to go around.

I'll also list any other hardware I come across.

I will be answering everyone's replies asap.

To everyone:  I have had two individuals offer to come to my home to examine the Amiga accumulata.  Because this is so much easier on me - no packing, no transporting, no postage, no handling on my part - I intend to allow them to choose what they want first.  At that time, I will post whatever is left over.

My apologies if anyone is disappointed, but when I got well into listing the hardware and software, I became overwhelmed with how much there actually is and how much labor and time it would take to deal with 1 or 2 or 3 items at a time.

At least:
Hardware: 16 Amiga products, 40 third party products.
Software: FDs, at least 64 boxed games; 6 without boxes; 24 non-game programs; DevWare (PD for WB1.3) 20 disks with 47 - 50 programs; 32 legal downloads; CDTV: 13 games, 13 non-games, 13 kid's games; CD32: 3 games; Amiga CD: games 8, 14 non-games.
Double density floppies for reuse, literally hundreds.
