X5000 Having Ethernet Adapter Issues

I keep wondering how the sound card problems were not noticed by X5000 beta testers .  (Scathing remarks withheld for now)

Welcome to the voodoo of the PCI and PCI-e cards of the X5K.

Hit and miss it seems for ethernet and sound cards.

Some pci ones work ok under Amigaos 4.1. seem better in the first pci slot .

No problem.
I am using a pci cmi 8738 in the first slot and it works with no lockups  under AmigaOS 4.1.
But it locks up with full screen video under Linux  so I use HDMI audio .

thanks for the link! i couldn't remember the details on this. hopefully aaron (at AOTL) can get those cards replaced in his future builds.

Apparently that is one of the tests Amigakit now use when testing their X500-builds. I assembled my own machine  (Got just the motherboard from AmigaKit) so finding a working sound card is on me but AOTL should really replace your sound card with one that works as you bought a complete system.

So yeah, Tunenet just locked up while playing a station after about 10 minutes.
