You don't need Idefix for the 2nd channel if you have OS 3.5/3.9 installed
Works fine in my A1200 , Blizzard 1240 16MB, OS3.9 ,CDROM, 8GB HD (1st Channel) and DVD-ROM (2nd Channel) :-P
