Alot of CF cards will NOT work with the PCMCIA and WILL work on internal IDE> The safest bet is to use official Sandisk CFs only. THere are threads online about what cards work and what dont..

btw "PRep card" as matt stated is only used for PCMCIA memory cards not prepping driveds for HD ur CF card is probably incompatible.

It could still be something in your setup, what's your location? There might be someone near who can test your card on a known working system?

Its NOT his "setup" its the card. This is pretty well documented actually. What more proof do you need lol?

 I also have tri-colour LED for PCMCIA port which makes it easier here "card detect" and "card enabled".

Now there is a cool hack i wish I had. I read an article a few years back how to do it but lost it. Did you do it yourself? Can u send some pics plz?
