Vizio e240a12 works in all modes with indivision mk2!
« on: February 03, 2013, 12:20:11 AM »
Hey guys GREAT NEWS

I got a TV/Monitor as a gift and guess what? IT WORKS IN ALL MODES I'VE TRIED WITH MY INDIVISION MK2 through DVI to HDMI Adaptor.

Its a Vizio Model E240A12 22' i think.

Here are the working modes I tried:

1. NTSC
2. PAL
3. DBL NTSC
4. Multiscan Productivity
5. SuperPlus modes
6. High Gfx HD

I havent not tried the Xtreme drivers yet or other weird amiga modes.

On my 1d4 A1200 w/b1260 and bigfoot psu I get a Perfect Crisp display with NO pixel problems or glitches running for hours!

This is with the OLD ORIGINAL CORE. One thing odd is that the MK2 seems to  break a lot of demos, and they wont run on my machine :(( I know this because some demos that ran before installing it lock up or black screen now. Wonder why this is.

Also, because we cant configure the core, I do get the offset screen, but the monitor controls help a little. but its not perfect. However in HighGfx modes with "stretch" (scaling) mode its a perfect awesome high  res display.

So if you have an A1200 and Indivision mk2 I highly recommend this tv.

Nova

I'll take some pics when I get a chance. The PAL and NTSC modes are off center and its annoying but at least they work. Also, they dont take up the whole screen. Hard to explain i'll post pics soon.

I was runnning Superplus but now running a widescreen HighGFX HD mode and love it. Rock solid.
Best of all I dont have ANY glitches or problems in any of my modes. And i've had it running for hours.

As far as the new cores it looks like they are having problems getting it working properly :(

In PAL mode with PAL games, do you get smooth scrolling or jerkiness?

How about demos? Smooth scrolling of text?

Broken Demos seem to run fine although some demos that worked before sometimes dont with the MK2.

As far as games I dont play alot of scrolling games, but the one I did play I did notice a lag in the scrolling (I think it was Castelvania)

There hasnt been a peep from jens about the new cores :(
