Mag, think about what you just suggested. Do you really think an insurance company is going to pay for a 20 year old computer?

Umm yes actually. Did YOU think about what you wrote? If you have apt. insurance it is covered. Vintage gear is worth money too. Everything has value.. Dont know if they have apartment insurance in UK though...

As far as USA police they are completely useless for this kind of thing. Once when I had my first place @ 19yrs old , I used to have parties on weekends. I had a little office with a locked up storage file cabinet. Well I was at work one night and my place was broken into
(probably someone I know from the "parties") and they stole my inherited coin collection, about $1500 us dollars, my passport, some gold jewlery and more. Also stole my stereo and other stuff. The thief or thieves used a crow bar to open the cabinet which they actually left on the scene. When the cop showed up to take the report I asked him to take in the crowbar for fingerprints as its obvious they used it and i didnt own one. You know what he said? " You have been watching too much tv, we arent going to fingerprint anything"

If you do some research online and talk to others you will see that when police respond to a location, especially a home the first thing they do is look at you as a suspect and look around your home for contraband and crime to ARREST YOU!

Did you know that when you call in to report a crime or as a witness or whatever that YOU become the prime suspect? (or in cop talk " a person of interest" ) ah boy like good ole times in Berlin..
