Awesome post. That mini korg looks cool. However, not much octave range? What do you do hit a switch and get all the other keys?    Right now i have my a1200 with Octamed 5 a Pyramid Midi box attached to the serial port and a Boss Dr 202 "dr groove" drum machine.  i'm planning on adding a keyboard at some point as wel.. still learning octamed.

That comment about touching girls is awesome.. at least you have an excuse of being creative unlike Franko and the other fanboys :P

btw where did you get the korg for $200? I actually like the one with the black keys..

Also I thought this korg was designed to sound analogue? I read some reviews now I want one! Have you used it with octamed yet? Can you control samples with it?

I dont think that the microkorg has keys that sustain the notes..thats why octamed wont do it maybe?

umm what are you talking about? Gain is used to boost the channel for whatever purpose.. not just for cue. ( i dont even understand your post)  I have a Vestax pmc05 and use the gains all the time.. especially for boosting levels on old records. (which is prolly what xdelusions wants it for to boost levels)

The 2600 should still play games afaik the synthcart is just a plug in cart! You take it out and put in pac man (boy i hate pacman on 2600 lol)

"i dont want to make anyone dance.." that is so funny.  It sounds like you just want to make music for your own purposes so you certainly wont need a "studio mixer" as staed before. Also, for you I wouldnt recommend a mixer with mono channels at all for your needs.  Stanton makes some nice cheap mixer that look really cool and are affordable. I'd recommend a mixer with not only gains but independent control of hi low and mid levels.. kills switches would be great too as it lets you completely kill the frequences of hi lo mid (but then again its for dance or electro stuff mainly, but has it uses for practical music)
