Why not just use the NeoBitz component adapter?  I believe it does S-video also.

I'd stay away from the microdrive.  For reliability, performance, cost, etc. I'd go with a normal CF card.

A used/refurbished microdrive is even worse!  :-o  I guess for $10 you will not be loosing much (other than your time) but in the long run a normal fast CF card is a better bet.
