If you want an IDE that's almost identical to the Borland Turbo C/C++ DOS interface (same shortcut keys, layout, etc.) then check out RHIDE (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/rhide). It's originally for DJGPP but I believe you can use it with other compilers.
