Help: Warp Engine 3040 installation
« on: January 11, 2004, 05:04:46 AM »
I just got a WE3040 accelerator and I would like to know if someone could advise how to install it. I currently have a SCSI-2 4GB hd installed to the native SCSI controller in A3000D (rev. 9/01, buster 7, ramsey 4, dmac 2, wd scsi 08). I've heard that the native SCSI and WE SCSI don't get along nicely so it's best to use WE SCSI only. Anyway, I plan to use 2 32MB 60ns EDO simms in the 2 slots availalable.

I already have INT2 fix installed (U350 Pin 21 to CN606 Pin 82 as per http://www.vgr.com/int2), so should I really use the red clip for U350 pin 21?

What are the motherboard jumper settings for WE3040?

Anything else I should know?

Thanks.

Thanks for replying guys.

@Framiga:

I only received the WE4040 manual which covers the A4000 installation, unfortunately. :-( Also a small addition on extra piece of paper which covers A3000T installation. Everything but what I really need. :crazy:

@Melott:

Your settings didn't work. :-( I e-mailed you with more details.
