They should work for SE chains just fine as well as LVD chains. CSPPC requires SE termination (40MB/s speed, the oldest UW-SCSI3 chain), however for Amiga it's quite fast nevertheless.

What brand and model is your hard drive?
Have you tried different cables/terminators? Your terminators are OK, but you never know if you might have a defective one, so having extras is useful for testing purposes. The same goes for SCSI cables.
