Just some bug fixes in the floating point unit.
But it is the running cooler which is THE big thing. The new mask layout makes the chip produce a fraction of the heat at the same clock frequency. It also has improved timing margins than the XC. This means the chip will operate much cooler and much more stable at higher clock frequencies.
I have three MC68060RC50 (1E41J) CPUs in different accelerator cards for Amiga and they all seem to be only slightly warm to the touch, when running that is.
The only time this mask gets a bit hot (mind you you can still hold your finger on the chip without getting burned) is if I connect the particular BPPC card to the Grex1200, but I guess that's normal as the entire design and power flow in this case is not perfect. :-)
