I'm mainly looking for collectors or first timers with setups like this one. It is an all-in-one package, and to someone who is considering getting into or back to Amiga, this very well may seem like the perfect choice. The system is capable enough for most of the games out there, and can provide an acceptable speed, when working within the OS.

I don't think that Viper 1230LC accelerator would go for much, if it were sold separately. It is more of an asset if bundled together, in this case, I think. However, something better than it, and I would have definitely sold it separately (e.g. a blizzard card).

And of course, splitting anything from the A1200 Magic setup would be foolish, as I would lose on the NEW! COMPLETE! W@W! effect. :-)

@DJBase:

Whatever buddy. Use google translation if you can't understand the description of the auction. Select translate from English to German, and you're all set.

Well, that's a good point, however even Amiga dealers do it. Let's take Vesalia for example. They sell new A1200 with 40, 60, and 80GB hard drives in them. They had to open NOS units to install those hard drives, no doubt about it. It's a necessary thing. I wish I had A1200 units with Escom factory installed hard drives in them, but I don't. I have a bigger chance of making a better sale if I sell an A1200 with a hard drive in it, than one without it.

I mentioned in the item description that the unit was opened once, for the HD to be installed. It's not like I said "NEW! UNOPENED!" and the backside clearly shows a broken warranty seal.

Heh, well it will cost you about the same if you order from Europe, as you will be charged for shipping in the 60 to 100eur range and customs tax will most likely be applied + no accelerator. I am profiting here a little due to the fact that I bought bulk sometime ago from Europe and am slowly getting rid of the items.

My comments were simply bragging about the good sale and nothing more. :-) I didn't refer to you as a sucker or anything, by all means.

I've already packed everything, spent time advertising the item, went to the postal office for rates. I think it would be a bit unfair if you dropped out, but do what you feel is best for you. You would be ruining for me a few other perfectly good bids which were in the same range (pretty close) as yours. I am usually very flexible about resolving eBay problems, however to be honest with you, I don't see one here. I am in the business of selling and I am certainly not going to e-mail my bidders before auction end, telling them that I don't think their bids are rational, and that they should quickly pull out or else suffer the overpriced charge. It doesn't work that way.

Anyway, it's up to you, as I've said.

If he does back out you deserve it for posting crap like that here. He came to the site and read it. How the heck do you think that makes him feel after being told he paid to much for the item. You yourself just admited he oaid more and cheered yourself on for it!

The auction started at $9.99 and no reserve. I didn't push anyone into bidding over $300USD+. I don't have spyware installed on his computer that bids to my advantage, without his knowledge. The fact that he is an uninformed bidder is not my problem or concern.

My comments were bitter, I 100% agree, however I did it to sort of tease Cyberus, as he asked for advice on whether I find it I earn more or less when selling stuff like this together or separate (first reply to this thread).

Watch out for bad advices such as the ones comming from DjBase. He is only in it so that he could mine this auction (look at the pattern of his replies). He's not your friend, but a resident troll.

Just look at this comment made by him:

You would get a better and cheaper A1200 System at lower shipping costs if you buy it from Vesalia

How would you get lower shipping rates from Germany, if shipped to the states? Vesalia will charge 60EUR to 80EUR at least, for shipping an A1200 Magic pack to the US. I've ordered quite a bit from them so I speak from experience.

And then DjBase plays dumb and says that he doesn't know if Vesalia install those 40, 60, and 80GB hard drives themselves in the magic packs...suuure, I bet Commodore or Escom installed them throughout 1992 and 1995. Oh yes, they had them way before everyone else. :lol:

And the shipping method used would be...may I take a guess? Surface?
