I think it would be usefull to be able to boot AOS3.5 or AOS3.9 on the AmigaOS4 capable machine, so that people could continue to use their existing setup while setting up the new system.

Is there any plans of having such mode for new AOS platforms?

(Or is it Alan Redhouse's problem to hire Amithlon author to implement similar system for A1?)

How about Classic PPC Amigas?  I've done it so that I have preserved a AOS3.5 partition (old & patched & easy to crash) beside the AOS3.9 partition. Dificult part starts when I want to boot from the partition with lower boot priority, I need to monitor power led & HDD sound, etc, etc so that I manage to hit both mouse buttons to reach the boot selection screen again and again untill the re-boot nightmare ends in correct system startup (CSMK2 does one reboot, then AOS3.x rom patcher does the second reboot and then ...).

So will there be a easier way  also for classic PPCAmiga users?

(I think it would be very helpfull to be able to set (more permanently than just for one boot at a time) partition boot orders in early startup (perhaps in BIOS for A1) but that would require a new ROM for classic Amigas)

(bah, I bet I no one can understand those questions, but no time to clarify....)

What kind of screensavers and screensaver system will ship with AOS4.0?

It would be nice if there is a superb good looking (and extremely stable) screensaver.

(later it would also help to make AOS machines look more appealing in computer shop's window...)

More ideas to this:
- screensaver could act as a standard benchmark program
- screensaver could also act as a standard multimedia presentation tool (reading scala/hollywood scripts)
- screensaver could work as a world wide Amiga community infochannel system ;-)    (how about amigaworld.net or amiga.org plugin...)
- it could also be set to show (cycle through) selected web pages
- login/password system for the screensaver could be set to look like the stargate dialing/control screen...     :-o  :-D
- screensaver could use TV card to show TV channels on screen
- screensaver could also automatically load & show movie trailers from the internet
- screensaver could be used to remind about things and it could automatically remind about viruskiller updates, AOS4 updates, and monitor system(hard disk) integrity and inform if there exist problems
- it could show headers of new received mail

and....  :-D

How will AOS4 tackle viruses? Will existing viruskillers continue to work?  Will there be a viruskiller in the "contributions" folder?

Windows is known from it's standard card game. I bet hundred million people have tried it out and some play it (almost) all day at work. 8)

Will AOS4 include a good card game? Perhaps one that uses klondike card sets?

(about 7 years ago when I worked at computer shop and sold Amigas, I noticed that a lot of (older) people disliked Amigas because it did not include card game as a standard)   :-o
