Choosing RTG method (To all Z2 bus owners indeed)
« on: February 13, 2005, 07:49:55 AM »
Hi

I have just got a CV64/3D for my 2k, 060@50, fast scsi 2, 128 fast, ethernet, ide, scandoubler, etc etc

With my previous picassso2 card i was using picasso96, but I have heard CGX will be better for the new RTG and even that CGX has somewhat screendraggable feature(?!)

What do you think? CGX or P96 for the CV64/3D in Z2 mode?

I also heard that using some unknown for me MMU mode in CGX will speedup RTG graphics a lot. What about that?

there might not be a lot of hardcore A2ks outthere like mine, but there are a good bunch of 1200 Z2 boards. Guys, what tricks are you doing to speedup the thingie as fast as possible?

Thank you in advance

Frank

Better image quality in P96 than CGX?

Should I add a pasive disipartor on the chip of CV64/3D then?

I will try any kind of trick or patch that would speedup the thing a little :)

Thank you for your answers dudes

@Framiga

No OT at all ;-D Anything amiga related is welcomed :-)

I have also heard that the CGX can be tuned to run in MMU mode, which seems to get a good speed boots at the grafics in general.

Anyone?
