Amikit/Winuae and Game Displays
« on: September 20, 2006, 05:53:15 AM »
I have installed the latest Amikit & AForever which I am running presently to post this via IBrowse. Overall - quite impressive.

I installed 'The Settlers' to hard disk and was impressed again buy the stabilty of the program running in an emulation environment.

I have a 19" LCD monitor that runs the emulation in 1280 x 1028, (the same as Windows screen resulution).

When I run the game, the screen switches back to the Windows XP desktop, and runs in a smaller Window, I am guessing that it is using the original PAL screen size. The objects are much smaller in WinUae than when running on the original Amiga.

Is there a way to adjust the WinUAE config to get a bigger screen when the games take over the gfx chip?

I set the max world settings with 4 opponents, and generally let the game run itself for most of last Sunday, with me checking in periodicly to build 10 of everything, and attack everyone at once, in order to generate as much strain on the cpu as possible. The resulting traffic jams were massive, but I noted that the game did not flinch, and the system did not crash once throughout.
