Congratulations on an amazing machine!

I recently was able to view a demo of the A-One here in Edmonton with at the monthly AMIQUE meeting. A fellow from Calgary AMUC brought an Micro A-One for us to slobber over...

I was impressed with what what this little machine could do, multi-media like the latest bloated XP, yet run FinalWriter or any other old Amiga App that didn't bang the hardware, both at the same time, with the emulation running seamlessly.

The OS installation (OS4 Beta), was under 30 MB I believe, that included the SDK CD. SDK was impressive, as Steve programmed an intuition Window to open with only a couple lines of code, right in front of us...

OS4 Beta still has some flakyness ( I think he said with JIT), that appeared to be minor, but I believe they are doing the right thing by delaying the OS until it is stable. It will be well worth the wait. Unlike the Windows having the users doing the beta test... Steve went over a list of things that the developers had worked on over the last few months, that until recently did not work, and so they are in fact making progress, maybe a little too quietly for some, but it is obvious that there is some fantastic talent working on this OS.

The thing that really amazed me was the 4 second Hot re-boot! Compare that with the 5 mins it takes my XP to finish farting around on re-boot...

I am jealous!!!! Gotta refinance the house now!!!
