Connecting Amiga 1200 to the 'net
« on: September 19, 2003, 01:38:16 PM »
As you may know, i own an Amiga 1200. But was wondering how would i connect this up to the internet. My system is ready for it, i just need to puzzle the peices together (so to speak). I have:

Silver Surfer fast serial, and disk.
56k Modem and cables.
IBrowse 2.2
Termie TCP
Net & web
Plus the Internet stuff that can be found on os 3.5/3.9.

I am pretty much sure that's all i need to get on the 'net. But i am not sure where to go from here. Dialup number, server, etc. I dont get it, as i ain't an expert. Well i hope i mentioned everything, if someone can give me a sort of guide on how to do this then i would be most grateful.

Cheers!

Many thanks for the replies. Okay, i already have IBrowse 2.2, but i will upgrade this to 2.3 for free, as i would be a fool if i didn't! I will also use Genesis that as the TCP/IP come with OS 3.9. But just one more thing, what about the service provider account with an ISP (dial up number) where would i go for that? I have heard of ABelgratis.com supporting Amiga but i dont really get how all this lark works?

Thanks,
