Hey Yo!

Well, i am not going to be as rude as the title suggests (as i am under a "gagging" order), but i really must express my opinions.

Firstly, i respect the developers and designers of this site, i think they have done a top notch job. But over the last couple of days, i have been saddened to find out that the whole Amiga.org Forum has been "tarted" up, and the look has been spiced up. I very much liked the old look of the forum. But the fact of the matter is, surely the old basic look of the foums would be better:

1) It looks far more attractive and better to use because of it's simplicity

2) It would surely take longer loading time for slower modems with the new look

3) The old look doesn't give you a headache!

4) The new look has too much graphical crap and flashiness, where it ain't needed

Does anyone else agree with me on this? (for the same or different reasons) I don't care about this site having to keep up with the "Joneses" aka AmigaWorld.net, just to make this site look just as good, or (as i suspect) more better because of the competition between the two. The old look looked far more the part for it's job. I mean look at the BBC website. That has been given awards for it's colour and layout, and it's as simple and basic as you can get - without going over the top and displaying all the graphical flashey nonsense.

I think Amiga.org should learn a few tips from the BBC website. (Although i know that Amiga.org has nowhere near the money and resources that the BBC has). Oh, and i don't want the usual whiners (they know who they are), saying rubbish about me complaining and putting me down, as i want this to be a discussion. Please respect my opinion.

Actually, i really shouldn't be surprised. Because it's ALWAYS you that winds me up. NOW STOP IT. I can always discuss matters or improvements to other people or on other forums But whenever something like that is mentioned here, it always seems to go way above you head and then act like a {bleep} and thenyou break out into a little {bleep}ty over it. Can't you take a little critism or other people's ideas?

Yeah. It's not too bad at the moment. But i know what's going to happen. It is going to be like last time, when the whole forum got a make over, and then you get other (and pratically useless) features like the HP meter. And then you get alsorts of problems with it and then you will resort back to the old setup again. The old forum looked kicked ass big time. :-D

Since we all know that you are all one and the same (or at least act that way), I feel that the "excuse" is very appropriate for a long time to come.

If you are indeed seperate people -- for which I have strong doubts -- you really should encourage one another to grow up.

Wayne, we are seperate people. There have been pictures of us, we even have our own seperate sites (well i don't, but they do). I really can't offer anymore proof. What can i do to get people to believe we are seperate people.

You really are the worst people person i have met Wayne. I start off a topic, clearly stating i didn't want an arguement, and then YOU come here, insult me, telling lies and obviously trying to upset me and annoy because you know i am a hot headed person. I also believe you are trying to get me to rise to your bait and get a reaction from me. The remaining user base here is dwindling because of your offensive attitude Wayne (during the Morph OS era). It seems to be like joining the Taliban here.

I have to watch what i say here, but i know that what you said in this thread about me was uncalled for and i didn't deserve that.

Well, Wayne, my impression of you (coming from the opininions of other people as well) is that you're a very offensive and rude person. And if you don't believe me, go over to AmigaWorld and ask, but wait, you will probably be too "busy" to do that. I have clearly made this thread to start a discussion, not an arguement. And you have come here not only disagreeing with my opinion (which i can take really), but what i don't like is you personally insulting me, and literally getting people to side with you over me being more than one person. The fact of the matter is, you are going by belief, and whether you like it or not, you have no hard evidence. I admit, i am hot headed at times, so i don't blame you for trying Wayne.

I am not going to say anything more on this matter Wayne so please let whatever it is drop, because i can't be bothered for a "mud fight".

That's not feedback, that's whining.  It generally doesn't help that this is your typical modus of operandi.

The threaded forum template was 100% CSS driven, on a CSS file which doesn't exist.  I couldn't fix that without fixing a few other files (such as the viewtopic / flat template).  Nothing else changed, but you immediately jumped in and started whining about it for no apparent reason.

Okay. So maybe i should have worded things better. But i honestly was not creating a damned hate campaign about it. I stated that i wanted a discussion and get other people's opinions too. I didn't mean to piss you off Wayne, but i did say i really liked the old look of the forum, doesn't that count for anything? If you also notice, before you posted, that people were actually discussing the matter. Anyway, i really don't want to get into a slanging match Wayne, so PLEASE quit with the offensive personal insults Wayne.
