Having done some testing with Quicktime myself, yes, there seems to be a problem with it and the MP3's. I'm looking into it.

As the original version was a preview and a bit brutally compressed as jpeg, here's a slightly tweaked version. It's a 24-bit png so you can resize or whatever before converting to jpeg for use, unless you don't mind 140KB banners ;-)

Saved the png as a JPG, ended up being 5K bigger than the old version, but the artifacts you were referring to seem to have disapeared.
