I know the CV64 has a jumper that can be set for the rev 9 Buster chips. Not setting this jumper would give all kinds of artifacts with the CGX drivers and would make P96 drivers crash. Setting it would take care of all problems, giving trouble free operation with both sets of drivers.
I don't know if the CV64/3D has the same jumper though.
I just sold my CV64 so I cannot look up the location of the jumper in the manual anymore. :-(
