My Amiga on Amibench
« on: September 02, 2003, 07:50:22 PM »
I finally did it, I put my Amiga 4000/040 on Amibench.
Why Amibench and not e-bay ?  Well, I'm kind of a reluctant seller at the moment.  I will see what kind of offers I get, if any.  Maybe it won't be worth it, then I can keep my Amiga.  On the other hand it really has just been taking deskspace here, only occasionally used for image storage, not really worth keeping it for that.  Anyway, it's on there so if anyone cares to make an offer...

I wouldn't mind sending to the UK as such.  It would add to the cost I guess, the amiga with everything in it must way at least 10kg, closer to 15kg I estimate, so that would cost some €75/50UKP just to send it over.

Yep, I'm living in Gent.  I'm kind of playing the waiting game on the Amiga One for now.  I have been using my A4000 till recently, mainly because of the DPS PAR inside, good for video editing, but things move on...  Who knows if the new Amiga range is flying high like the original used to I'm sure I'll have one.

Kind of depends.  The official name (in Dutch) is Gent since it's a Flemish city where Dutch is the official language.  Walloons call it Gand (in French, their official language) and English speakers call it Ghent.  Real fun for tourists driving on our Belgian highways looking for Ghent and only finding pointers to either Gand or Gent.
Good news is Amiga is Amiga in all those languages :-D
