CAPS user library available for linux (ppc and i686)

C.A.P.S., the Classic Amiga Preservation Society, ported the user library to Linux (i686 and PPC versions).

Now lets pray that M. Rich Drummond will add support for it in next uae ports.

From AW.net under latest uae port 0.8.23

Do you have plan to support .ipf too

I talked to one of the chaps at the CAPS project regarding IPF support, and that should be possible on x86 Linux as soon as they finish a Linux port of the CAPS plug-in. It's a closed source, binary-only plug-in, so I can't do anything until they do. (There's apparently already a 68k Amiga version, so I may look at implementing support for that first).

So now that the user library is available, M. Drummond might be able to add support for it.

CAPS IPF are not available from the CAPS site so they can not be held responsible for spreading them. AFAIK, people sending IPF will get them back and fixed and nothing else.

@ Rich : I am glad you had CAPS support on your uae port. Is it for all ports or only a few of them ? I am interested in the amigaos and warpos ports (and a little bit on linuxppc port). Are they working better/faster now ?
