fast ram not recognised anymore
« on: September 23, 2003, 11:05:32 AM »
Hi all,
I have a running system for about 3 years now like this : A1200T-PPC240/060-BVPPC-ROM3.1 1x64Mb, 1x32Mb.
Now for whatever reason I dont have anymore the 64Mb working together with the 32Mb module. The 32Mb is always recognised whether the 64Mb is here or not. The 64Mb is working alone but if I put on any of the socket, most of the time now it wont get recognised.  I am also experiencing random crashes with no more video signal after. I am aware about the overheating problems so I stick a heatsink on top of the permedia2 for some time now.
So I plugged my CV64/3D and installed the monitor driver. If the Bvsion is the problem then I should not encounter crashes with the CV64/3D even if the BVsion is plugged.

@ iamaboringperson :
yes it is correct. Was working until now. I have a feeling that I get crashes because the 64Mb suddenly stops working.
I took the heatsink lying on top of an old 486 processor, and put thermal glue on permedia and apply the heatsink. Thats it. Maybe I have some problems to translate french to english to exectly call what I put on the permedia2 (fan, cooler, heatsink etc).
