cables needed to link an amiga nad a pc
« on: May 19, 2003, 09:11:33 AM »
Hi all,
I want to link a P200 to my A1200PPC, so that I could play over a local network amigagames through UAE. I dont have any ethernet card on my amiga (but the pc does) but I could get my hand on a few cables but dont know which one is the most suitable.
I got DB9 female-female crossed, DB25 male-male crossed or not, DB9-DB25-coupled female-female.

thanks, I see what I can do. I have an adaptor 9/25 which I used to connect my modem to but since I got a VarIO card I no longer need it.
My question was mainly about using crossed cables or not (like crossed RJ45)
Thanks anyway.
For UAE, I konw P200 is limit but to emulate A500 I guess it is enough with a voodoo2. I also have alphastation255 at 233Mhz on which I could run Uae as well but at first I have to install debian on it (unsuccessfull until now, can not partition the hd, because I dont have alphabios but srm)
