As for the PCMCIA CD drive you have, you should be able to use it on the Amiga if has been designed for Amiga (obviously). SCSI isn't the only option through the PCMCIA port. Back in the old days I had my burner connected to an AlfaData PCMCIA controller, and it used ide drives. Drivers were included on the CacheCDFS disk. Worked like a charm for me.

As for the ethernet card, take a look at the cnet.device on Aminet. It has a guide on how to intall the cards supported by cnet.device. In the end it's real easy, as it's only a matter of copying a file to devs:Networks. As for networking cards, you can see one that work with the A600/1200 on www.danhoej.net/users/allan/amigahw.html .
