I had a CVPPC connected to a CSPPC once, and I also had troubles getting any gfx out of the board. I had installed the software on the CyberGraphX CD, and installed the update, but still nothing.
Finally I found the solution, at least to my problems. Overwriting 68040.library, 68040new.library and 68060.library with newer version, and that made the trick. Hope this is all you have to do with yours. Don't have any clues what else to do, sorry.
