No high audio level on Amiga 1200
« on: October 31, 2011, 07:03:43 PM »
Hi,

I have an Amiga 1200 with audio problems. I know most problems concerning audio is due to the need of replacing caps on the motherboard, but I'm in doubt if it is the case here.

Here is the issue; there is coming audio out from both channels, the audio isn't low, the only problem is that the higher audio levels (I doubt it is the correct term) doesn't come out when audio is played. I can only hear the underlaying deeper audio levels.

This is a problem both when I use the RF modulator or the phono connectors. I have tested on two different audio setups, tested different PSUs, tried removing all shielding to see if that had an effect, but still nothing :-(

Can this still be capacitor related or can I be looking at a broken trace or something? Any ideas what to check next?
