I think you should look for RAD. Either you have it put in your Devs/Dosdrivers, you are mounting the devices found in Storage/Dosdrivers or you are mounting it somewhere in your startup-sequence.
I have used RADs in the past to make a non-bootable SCSI controller more pleasant to use, by making a boot disk that mounts RAD, and copies all needed files to RAD, so the boot disk only had to be used when the computer is powered up. It's a nice solution for a non-bootable controller :-)
