A task for the soldering masters
« on: July 13, 2008, 10:59:23 PM »
Hi,

can anyone help me out with the following?? I need someone to replace the 44 pin male connector on a IDE->CF adapter to a female 44 pin female. The catch is that the 44 pin connector must be a the bottom of the CF card adapter and there must be approx. 2 cm from the connector up to the card.

I can already hear the questions; what should I use it for?? An A600. The idea is to have the CF card adapter going above the accelerator, so I will have no need for IDE cables.

Can someone solder such a thing for me? If so, get it touch with a price :-)

Well, it doesn't have the needed clearance from the connector to the cf card (2 cm) so these are a no go. Unless there is an extension somewhere??

I already have cables, the point is I want to avoid using them.

The point is that the CF adapter should be above the accelerator, so the socket should hold the adapter in place.
