I can recommend the 3Com Etherlink III as well. If taken from a PC it needs to have some settings changed which can only be made using a PC, but other than that it works fine.

Check www.amibench.org for used Amiga hardware if you don't mind it being used.

You could be right, but I know there is also some settings for duplex or something. Nevertheless, these settings can't be changed by using an Amiga.
