I would, the A1200 was outstanding in it's day, (both for price and performance). An Amiga One with a similar design, take away the floppy and add a DVD and TV input/output and you'd have an outstanding portable system. :-D

Yes, I alsi like the idea of a transparent blue, but leave most of it as is,(like the original A1200), and add some transparent stips to add originality, like where the CPU is located, that would be eyecatching. Too much blue would be overkill.  Aparantly it does have a single PCI slot and the CPU is socketed, so expandability would be key here, extending the life way beyond that of the A1200s.

dunno about in an a1200 case tho, would it fit? nah, leave the a1200 as a classic miggy.

The A1200 is a true classic I agree, but being that they'r still in use today goes to show you that an updated version would be a great idea, and possibly seller as well, a small  functional computer, why would you want a box, no matter how small.

"The idea would be to put the AmigaOne Lite into it. We will add a CDROM and stiffy (still a debate). There's no problem as to the design of the case as it's been around since the days of Petro.
We will modify it a bit and give it those awesome colours that some of you want."

Now your talking, sounds like a great concept, and with the Amiga One Lite MB and OS4 what more would a true computer enthuisiast want, a fast and friendly, cheap realiable home computer that could be taken anywhere, outstanding. :-D

"...with a snap on/off TFT foldover screen like the PS1 has.
Totally portable miggy a1-lite, now thats appealing."

Never thought of that, would be great though.

" would rather see something along the lines of an A600 myself. I like the smaller form. With the advent of replaceble laptop video cards, many of which are using the top of the line graphics chips, you could still upgrade the machine over the years."

I agree with you on the replaceble laptop V-Cards, but I strongly disagre about the A600 style case, nice as it was it lacked the numeric keypad, as well as a few other keys. A lot of people missed that on the keyboard.

I think Eyetech should put an AGP slot directly on on side, much like the A1200 accel-slot, also add a laptop style PCI slot for soundcards.  That way you could upgrade the graphics/sound/cpu as you want, and all put into a modified/updated A1200 style case, a great thought. And with that thougt I'm off to do my wife now. :hammer:
