I found out for many years TP printed faster and better than my windows machines becuase windows up to XP had 12 bit printer drivers not 24 bit.
Also I use the PS printing feature alot and it works great install Ghostscript and now all you do is copy a PS file to PS: device and bingo Postscript printing on your non postscript printer.
I use a small script with final writer becuase I can create a postscripte file and print it several times faster than printing with final writer straight.
heck tp still prints better than XP to my HP Laser printers
windows tends to spool data too fast and overflows the buffer resulting in me getting partial prints.
you problem is more than likely a bug in the driver for your printer type or User error.
