Hi,

A lot of people talk about this as if it is just a computer, wanted by some to play old c64 games, hence reactions like "living in the past and whats the point".
However, this is something more than "just another computer".
Let me explain:
First there is the fact that this machine is basically designed by one person. Being a student in ICT, I would LOVE to be able to do something like that.
Secondly, it is a system that comes fully documented. This means it will be something like the ideal system for hobbiests or indeed students to "play" with, in the meaning of: lets program a webserver on this thing, lets hook up some other microcontroller stuff, or whatever, just to learn and have fun in the mean time...
I for one cannot wait to try to port lwIP to this system, or make a uC/OS-II port.

For someone being interested in microcontrollers, electronics, ... this is a fantastic system. All the developmenttools are available, (c compiler is available for c64),... and not to forget, it has a "geek port" :-)
