There's a big difference between a fancy GUI and a good-looking GUI.
I have to agree. A customiseable interface may allow you to change the colours, fonts etc but the underlying STRUCTURE of the UI remains the same, in this case very cramped and intimidating.
In the abscence of freeform skinning (won't be yet, and who's gonna bother skinning an HD tool anyway?) that leaves us with an unintuitive piece of software.
However it isn't done yet, so I'll reserve proper judgement until I've actually had a go.
