@ XDelusion

it's becuase wxWidgets isnt ported to OS4 yet.  When that happens Davy has said he will get us AE v5

I'm not sure where you heard that from, but Davy posted this over at AW.net:

It's not very likely to happen for many reasons:
- As stated before, although AHI has been open source for a long time, no one has updated it
- wxWidgets port has been stalled for years and I need even more than the core and base parts (xml for instance)
- People would probably moan about why there is no VST support
- I don't have the exact figures here, but I think the total amount of sales from OS4/MorphOS/AROS versions would be between 100 and 150 in 8 years or so of time. Since the user base has decreased since, one needs to think if spending a large amount of time in porting is worth it
- Not going to make friends with this one, but although the Amiga was famous for its multi-media capabilities 25 years ago, it currently is completely not fit for serious audio work with all its Forbid/Permit and Enable/Disable calls. And even if one of the Amiga or Amiga-like operating systems fixes this, it is not fixed in the others.
- The lack of memory protection is of course a serious issue for development. Rebooting after every crash during development/debugging is a real pain.
- I can go on, really...
