am I SOL?
« on: July 02, 2003, 12:34:57 AM »
Hi all,

I am just trying to get my A1200 out of retirement, I power it up, and the HD is dead.  I look everywhere for my Workbench 3.0 disks, and I cannot find them.  is there anywhere I can download or borrow a copy of the disk?

If I can find someone to borrow me a good harddrive with Workbench on it, is there anyway I can copy it onto my drive?

Any help would be appericated.

Alan.

P.S. If I am posting to the wrong forum I apologize.

OK, Kudos to whoosh777 & teotwin, after leaving the A1200 on for a few hours, and shaking the harddrive abit, it fires right up.  After the Amiga fires up, I finally realized how long it has been (6 years!) *Sigh* I totally forgot all the commands (of course my manuals are no where to be found :P ).  The first 2 things that I want to do is to re-create the workbeach disk and copy all the content to another harddrive.  If anyone care to point me to any webpage, or just feeling generous to help me out I would be greatly appericated.

my email address is azdolt "at" yahoo "dot" com
I am in the San Francisco Bay Area in USA.

Thank you once again.

Alan.

P.S. the A1200 is the first computer I brought. :)
