Best 16-bit WAV to 8-bit IFF audio converter?

Hi again,

Further to my other Amiga sampling question, just wondered if anyone could offer suggestions for a good (read, fast, simple and efficient) sample-converter that would be able to convert 16-bit WAV files (mono or stereo) into good old 8-bit IFF audio files?

Batch conversion facilities would be nice and I'm not fussed if it's a PC or Amiga-based utility...
