F/A-18 Interceptor - is there a proper PAL version?
« on: December 29, 2008, 10:38:50 PM »
Hi,

This is my all-time favourite Amiga game and I've just installed the WHDload version on my A1200 - ah, the memories!

But I was wondering if there is a proper PAL version that uses the whole (320x256) screen. The (NTSC) version I have 'wastes' a large area at the bottom of the display with a grey nothingness...

Any chance that there is a proper PAL version somewhere out there?

Cheers,

Mike.

@whiteb,

Yeah, you see in the link you posted - a big chunk of the screen is unused...

I think setting it to PAL wouldn't do anything...

It's the game itself (the version I have is at 320x200) that dictates the screen resolution...

I'm hoping (though not hopeful!) that there is a full PAL version out there somewhere!

Cheers,

Mike.

After hunting around it looks like it's 320x200...

It's still my all-time favourite game on any Platform... Followed by H.E.R.O on the C64!

I too spent many hours playing it - and still do!

It's one of the few games I actually got to the end of...

Cheers,

Mike.
