Small ATX PSU into an A500 PSU casing - a few questions...
« on: November 26, 2008, 01:29:15 AM »
Hi,

I've managed to find a very nice little (95W) ATX PSU which will fit very nicely inside an A500 PSU casing, but I have a couple of questions:

1: Which power lines on the ATX connector do I need to wire up to the 5 pins of the A500 power connector?

2: I'd like to keep the on/off switch A500 PSU casing, but since an ATX supply used a 'momentary' on/off switch, is it safe to wire up the A500 on/off toggle switch to the two ATX on/off wires? If not, how can I retain the A500 on/off swith?

Any help or commenst greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi,

Managed to find a few very useful guides on how to do exactly what I'm after...

Here's one:
