The A1200 will have to remain alone, I guess (no PCI).
You can get a fairly inexpensive NE2000 compatible pcmcia ethernet card for it. I use a TrendNet 210CT that works flawlessly with cnet.device. Check the docs for cnet.device, they have a list of cards known to work.
