I use MCP for many patches and fixes. But it rules in Assign stuff :)
You can create an Assign list, put the Assign's and you can select if it'll be always there, or it'll be only activated if it's needed (late).
MCP also will automatically popup a requester instead of the system requester asking me for the volume which is wanted. Like:

"Please insert volume Duke3D"

Then you can choose between Retry, Mount, Assign, Deny, Cancel etc...

When you click on Assign, then the ASL requester will pop up and ask for a dir. Select the needed dir and it'll make Assign automatically. And it always shows up in the PROGDIR: where you have started the program that wanted the assign. So you mostly have to click on "OK" only in the ASL requester :)

A very good and helpful tool this MCP ;)
