Kickstart switcher question.
« on: May 07, 2006, 04:20:01 PM »
Hi all,

I have just recently bought a small box of amiga chips of eBay, and included with them is a Kick start switcher with a 1.3 rom installed. I plan to put this in my A500+ but am a little un-sure of installation. My problem is that there is a yellow cable coming out of the switcher which seems to supply power to the 74hc74n logic chip, but where does this go on the Amiga?

 Thanks in advance

Yup, I`ve already tried that. There`s nothing like it on the amiga hardware database, also I found no likeness through google. The switcher has no manfacturer or model markings! It is basically a 10x10cm board that slots into the empty kickstart rom socket, has place for two roms on top, a 74hc74n logic chip, three resistors and the yellow cable. it also has a spare socket for 16 pin chip but nothing is fitted there. Anybody?
