Here are the answers to your posted questions, if that’s any help.

What is your name and how did you get an interest in computers?

My name is Loran Williams, I became interested in computers when a neighbor of mine, and inventor bought a TRS 80 model 4 in the early 80's I started programming games on it in basic, it was a blast.

Is repairing computers a fun or frustrating thing to do?
What is the pay for repairing computers?

Repair computers is fun, there are times it can be frustrating, but solving the tricky problem is where the satisfaction is. It’s kind of like playing your favorite Amiga game.
There is a wide scale of pay, anywhere from $10 to $120 an hour depending on certifications, and if you are self employed.

Is providing customers with information hard to do with you knowing alot about computers?

Not at all, I just provide info in a manner the customer will understand, if he is a car mechanic, I will compare the internet to a highway, reformatting and reinstalling the os is like a tune up or changing the oil etc.

Was your decision in choosing to repair computers a good one?
Absolutely, I’m getting paid for what I love to do.

If you could chose another career besides repairing
computers, what would it be?

Building computers, lol
Probably interior design or maybe that car mechanic, I love creating, design, and problem solving.

Is there any advice you would like to let other people who want to become computer technicians that you can give?

Read ,read, read.!!!
I find reading on my own rather than taking a class more effective on retaining knowledge. The PC Novice series of magazines has a wealth of up to date information.
Also write everything down. If you stumble on something that works well, make a note of it.
