I had a 4,3 Gb hdd that couldn't be formatted on piss-se, so I hooked it up to my miggy, formatted, and got 4,3 Gb of space.. Not exactly what I expected - the very first cylinder of this hd was screwed up, that's why it couldn't be formatted under pc - but Amiga is great, so I moved RDB from sect 0 to sect 5 (the max sector for RDB is 7,[ might be wrong] but could cause some problems when set to it, so I used 5), and got fully usable, bootable hdd.. Ever tried moving RDB, maybe your disk is damaged the same way as mine..

I used few programs to do that. First you have to create partitions on this disk, then using Rigids (my favorite) (from here) you have to back up your rdb (i recommend using 2 floppy disks - it's just for sure you won't write screwed RDB to hdd later), then you have to completly delete all partitions eg with hdtoolbox, save changes, reboot, and write down your RDB backup from floppy to a specified offset (I recommend 3 to 5 ) of your hdd.. One very important thing, read the manual, cos I did this a long time ago, and don't remember the syntax of Rigids right now.. And remember to use correct device name and number for target hdd

BTW the same way you can create a hybrid disk, PC+Amiga
on one hd, I did it too, but it's a little bit harder..

Hope that will help :)
