Er, neither. I have a ton of Amiga mice since I only use optical. I have a keyboard for each Amiga, plus one I bought in need of repair.

Are you looking for these?

Yes sir, I bought a box with no kb or mouse that needs possible repair also), there was nothing for sale last week, and now amiga 1000s and 2000's galore...lol with kb and mice...figures.

Expect to pay a premium $ price for anything Amiga related, especially here in the USA.  You might try posting what you're looking for over on Amibay, I had some good success doing that there.  You could also try getting an adapter from AmigaKit for the mouse.  Good luck!  :)

Nobody was selling any basics at Amibay...I mean if I want to get some super mondo accelerator sure, mouse...nada.

@dan & mike...what do you guys feel is a fair price for an A2000HD with no kb or mouse that was booting but won't boot now, because that is what I am receiving tomorrow via ups. I bought it because there was no nice big box 2000's at the time that were cheaper.

I paid $150  incl s&H, but it feels like too much for the unit, more like 100 s&h it should have been I think.

One of the things I spose that got me was the case condition...immaculate.

I do have an ad over there... :) I think the reason there are no amiga parts/amigas is because scuzzy has all the remaining stock. I have seen his page. OMG! :)

Is it an otherwise working A2000?  When you say it doesn't boot, is that from the floppy, or a hard drive.  If it boot from a floppy, then $150 is good, $200 should boot from an A2091 and crappy hard drive.  For $250 you can buy my refurbed A2000 with A2091 + 2 MB RAM/1 GB HDD, Indivision ECS, PAMC-2000 14 MHz 68000 w/ 68881 FPU, CDROM, mouse and keyboard [3.1 ROM & WorkBench w/ disks} (you would have to add shipping, but no fees).

If you just need a mechanical Amiga mouse, I'll give you one free.

Okay, I'll keep that A2000 in mind as soon as wife let's me spend money ;) darn anniversary...lol. Sounds like a nice unit !

Since you have ECS then you'd be able to tell me. I read that you can't use pulldown screens feature when using RTG cards. Does this limitation apply to the ECS as well.

As far as my 2000 hd the guy said it wouldn't boot and he then pulled the HDD cable and it asked for a floppy, worked once and would not do it again. IDK what the deal is until I get it and get a KB and mouse and give it a looksie.

What irks me is NOW that I bought one, there are (supposedly) working ones floating around)

All of the standard Amiga chipsets (OCS, ECS, AGA) support screen dragging, including with the Indivision ECS.  As for video cards... I think that would depend on the card and software used?

Something on Wikipedia mentioned that RTG cards don't do pulldown because of how they work. Dunno if its true or not.

Don't think people are breaking them.  There are plenty out there for sale, check eBay/CL/forum for sale sections.

Also IMHO Amiga keyboards/mice are much better quality than moden versions.

If you are looking for a rare as hens teeth keyboard, you are after the red A keys or C= key keyboards.  ;)

I actually found one of those, just can't spend 60 bucks on a KB with anniversary coming up...

It would hardly be  Retargetable Graphics Board if it didn't "do" WorkBench; the OpalVision is sometimes called RTG by eBay sellers, but they lie. Even the Domino and Retina boards do menus, so WikiPedia is wrong. There were some very expensive Targa boards early on that were rare and seemed hand-built, but like the OpalVision, they were Graphic Output boards and not for RTG.

I guess I meant screen dragging, not familiar with all the terminology yet ;)

Got my A2000HD yesterday in the mail, along with MINT manuals. Hopefully runnin' soon. Gonna open 'er cover later today.

I wasn't looking for it, just saw it. Hang onto it, when I get familiar with this hardware and I know enough, I'll try to fix it. went for my AASET way back and want to get into repair to help ppl out.

I may aquire some things this summer like a reweork station and Hakko 808 for the purpose of keeping these things alive. I'll have to re learn what I forgot since '93. Still have my books though on digital and DC and AC circuits.

Same concept as locks on car doors, old carburetor linkages, and many different types of printers, Dell, HP, etc., all use mechanical pushrods in various applications.  So, not as uncommon as you might think!  ;-)

PS - major nostalgia at the picture of that old IBM.  Thanks for posting it!  :)

The clank of the big switch as it toggles is pretty darn satisfying compared to these wimpy push buttons. You know damn well that thing was ON.

AVOID AMIBAY WHATEVER YOU DO. The guys who run this site are fascists.

They seem to be sticklers for protocol, I'll give ya that :)

I don't mind the looks so much as trying to buy a MCA card from them in the 90's. "Which arm shall we take sir ?" My buddy sold his and bought an EISA tower because of that fact.
